The last stop on my journey through Europe was in London. By pure chance I visited the Tate Modern Museum during their Bank holiday festival for the long weekend. Of interest to me was the street art exhibition. "In the first commission to use the building's iconic river façade, and the first major public museum display of street art in London, Tate Modern presented the work of six internationally acclaimed artists whose work is intricately linked to the urban environment:
Blu from Bologna, Italy; the artist collective
Faile from New York, USA;
JR from Paris, France;
Nunca and Os Gemeos, both from Sao Paulo, Brazil and
Sixeart from Barcelona, Spain." To close out the festival New York artists
Graffiti Research Lab lead a workshop for young people, allowing people to project art onto the museum.
As you will see in some of my pictures the Nissan Qashqai Challenge (professional mountain bike jumping) was going on. This made for a very cool experience with good vibes. Another treat was the many Banksy pieces under the bridges and buildings around the museum.
